Rihanna cancels concert in Nice after terror attack claims at least 77 lives

A scheduled concert by US singer Rihanna has been cancelled in Nice following the terror attack which has claimed at least 77 lives.

The musician was in the southern French resort city due to perform Friday evening local time, TMZ reported.

Rihanna’s staff members are trying to get her out of the city as soon as possible, the US site reported.

She was scheduled to perform at the city’s Allianz Riviera Stadium.

Crowds were out celebrating Bastille Day in the popular city when a truck ploughed through the main promenade, killing dozens.

The driver was eventually killed although French police have not confirmed if the driver was shot dead.
