There are reports the Ukrainian Government has accused pro-Russian separatists of removing bodies from the MH17 crash site and looting victims’ credit cards, jewellery and money.

CNN reported the government in Kiev had received information of looting and urged relatives to cancel victims’ credit cards.

There were also unconfirmed reports that 38 bodies had been removed from the scene of the crash.

While Russian rebels have apparently been “lurking” at the wreckage site, CNN reported there were no obvious signs of looters.

Malaysian Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai said a team had arrived in Kiev and that the government had concerns the crash site had not been “properly secured” according to USA Today.

“We must not forget that it is a human tragedy,” he said.

“Days after the plane went down, the remains of 298 people lie uncovered.”

There were also claims that some of the bodies remained strapped in seat belts, wearing inflight headphones.
