Racist ordered to hold bully sign

With sunglasses and a golf cap, the 62-year-old US man tried to shield his face while sitting on a street corner holding a very humbling cardboard sign.

"I am a bully," the sign read. "I pick on children that are disabled, and I am intolerant of those that are different from myself.

"My actions do not reflect an appreciation for the diverse ... community that I live in."

Edmond Aviv sat in a chair holding the hand-lettered sign for five hours yesterday in South Euclid, Ohio, as part of a court sentence for disorderly misconduct.

He must also serve 15 days in jail and undergo anger management classes.

Aviv's disorderly conduct charge stems from a 15-year feud with his neighbour Mike Prugh and Prugh's adopted daughter.

Aviv reportedly has hurled ethnic slurs at the adopted girl, spat on her and smeared feces on the family's wheelchair ramp.

Aviv remains on probation, so if he does not stop harassing his neighbours, he will go back to jail.
