Leader of separatist Ukrainian region resigns while visiting Moscow

The chairman of the separatist Donetsk People’s Republic has resigned while visiting Moscow amidst building tension after MH17 was shot down over the disputed Ukrainian region.
Denis Pushilin was head of a pro-Russian group that declared independence in the eastern Ukraine region of Donetsk in April.

It is believed that he resigned while visiting Moscow, in a move that analysts believe may signal internal conflict between the rebel movement and the Russian government.
