Prince William rushes to help falling elderly man

Prince William has rushed to help an elderly dignitary who fell hard on the ground outside an event in England on Friday morning.

The Duke of Cambridge was greeting people at a charity event at Stewards Academy in Harlow when 72-year-old Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Essex Jonathan Douglas-Hughes fell behind him.

The 34-year-old royal immediately rushed to help the man back on his feet.

"Sorry about that," Mr Douglas-Hughes, who had tripped on a concrete bollard, told the prince.

"No, it's all right," Prince William replied.

The event was being held in honour of mental health charity Heads Together, founded by Prince William, Prince Harry and Duchess Kate.
