Prince Harry and William have lightsaber fight on Star Wars set

Princes Harry and William have revealed even royals can be massive sci-fi nerds as they duelled with lightsabers and embraced a new friend in Chewbacca on the Star Wars set.

The brothers were visiting Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire overnight when they couldn't hide their delight at a behind the scenes look at one of the most popular film franchises of all time.

The royals looked like two boys at play as they clashed the iconic Jedi weapons, with Harry asking the assembled journalists to make the signature lightsaber sound effects.

As the pair toured the studios they came across Han Solo's sidekick Chewie and Prince William didn't hesitate to stretch out his arms to embrace the fan favourite character.

After asking a question and getting an indecipherable growl in reply, Prince Harry stepped up and also wrapped his arms around the wookie.

The brothers also met the stars of the upcoming Star Wars film Daisy Ridley, Mark Hamill and John Boyega as well as director Rian Johnson.
