Prince George has once again stolen the limelight at what is supposed to be an occasion for his great-grandmother.

Queen Elizabeth II turns 90 tomorrow, and to commemorate the celebrations Her Majesty posed for a photograph to be used on First Class UK postage stamps alongside the heirs to the throne – Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince George.

The Royal Mail released the four stamps on a single sheet, with each stamp dedicated to one of the royals.

Standing atop a stack of blocks to make up for his lack of height, two-year-old George holds his father’s hand.

Photographer Ranald Mackechnie, who captured the family for the image in the White Drawing Room at Buckingham Palace last year, told The Telegraph the infant prince was a pleasure to work with.

“He was absolutely charming, as you can see from the picture,” he said.

“Prince George was on good form and everyone seemed to enjoy seeing him enjoy the day.”

Prince George wore the same outfit he wore in his first official photograph with sister, Princess Charlotte.

This is the first time the young prince will appear on a British stamp.
