Man caught holding ‘pot plant’ on live TV report on cannabis farm

A live TV report on an illegal cannabis farm has been interrupted by a young man carrying a suspicious-looking “pot plant”.

A local news reporter was covering a story on a couple that were caught growing close to 100 cannabis plants inside a thatched cottage in the UK county of Kent when the young man appeared in shot.

Video from the TV report shows the man emerging from an alleyway near the cottage holding a large green, leafy plant in a black pot.

As the reporter turns around, the young man spots the camera and makes a run for it – sprinting out of shot.

While, it seems suspicious in relation to the story, local police don’t believe the plant was cannabis.

It’s likely the man was pulling a cheeky prank on the reporter.

In a second live cross, the reporter said the clip wasn’t staged and he hadn’t had an opportunity to interview the prankster.
