'I do porn ... so what?': Sacked porn star teacher appeals ruling

A German teacher sacked without notice when her porn career was unearthed has appealed the ruling, saying she can still "promote Christian values" to her students.

The 38-year-old Munich woman – identified only by her stage name Julia Pink – worked for 17 years with the Diakonia Germany Evangelical Federal Association, teaching disabled children and adults, the Mirror reports.

But when church leaders learned Pink was moonlighting as a hardcore porn actress after winning a "shooting star" award at the Venus porn fair, she was immediately dismissed "despite her long years of service".

In October, Pink took the church to court over the dismissal where a judge ruled that her pornographic activities justified the swift action.

But she remains unrepentant and is now planning to appeal that decision.

"I do porn films but that doesn't mean I can't teach and that I can't promote Christian values," she said.

"I myself am a Catholic and a believer.

"I visit swingers clubs and do porn but so what?"

That sentiment was echoed by the parents of two of her students, Christian Herman, 32.

"Millions of people watch porn in Germany and around the world and it doesn't mean that they can't bring up their children properly," he said.

"So just because this woman is in porn doesn't mean she can't do her job as a teacher well."
