Police officers shove woman and child to the ground

Two police officers in China have been filmed pushing and forcefully restraining a woman, causing a child to be flung into the air.

Video shared to YouTube by a local source showed the woman clutching an infant as she spoke to an officer on Friday in Shanghai.

Conversation between the woman and the officer appears to become increasingly heated, and the woman can be seen prodding the officer.

Suddenly, the officer knocks the woman to the ground as another policeman opens the door of a patrol car.

The woman’s child is thrown form her arms, and also lands hard. Witnesses can be seen rushing to the youngster’s aid, as the policemen continue to restrain the woman.

The 53-second video ends with the officers forcefully pinning the woman down by her arms.

Millions of people in China have watched the video since it was posted on Weibo, according to the New York Times.

Authorities have reportedly since suspended the officer who first pushed the woman.
