Meet the pint-sized pet who makes an unlikely guard dog

Surveillance video has captured the moment a pint-sized guard dog stopped a burglar in his tracks in South Africa.

In the November 13 footage, a man dressed in a black beanie and purple sweatshirt is seen trespassing on private property.

The man appears to be looking in windows, checking if anyone is home, when he suddenly makes a dash for the fence.

The cause of his fright soon becomes clear, as the tiny pup runs into sight, barking furiously at the intruder.

As the flustered man scrambles to safety, the canine fearlessly chases after him proving size is no measure of the guard dog.
