Patrons shocked as gang kidnap man from busy pub

Police have released footage of a man being kidnapped from a busy pub in southwest England in an attempt to identify members of the gang who took him.

The 22-year-old man was dragged out of popular Bristol pub the Blue Lagoon on December 15.

CCTV footage shows the victim sitting down for a pint with two friends.

Shortly after, a group of men start circling the trio and grab hold of one of the men.

The gang drag him out of the pub through the front door as other patrons observe the kidnapping in shock.

They then drove approximately 10km to another part of the city, where the victim managed to escape.

‎Detective Inspector of the Avon and Somerset Police said police released the footage to the public from inside the Blue Lagoon bar in the hope the men can be identified by the public.

"This was a terrifying event for the young man involved and it's fortunate he didn't sustain any lasting injuries," he said.

A 32-year-old man and a 28-year-old man have already been arrested.

Both were released on bail until February 17.
