Panda playfully demolishes snowman

A Canadian zoo has marked the approach of the silly season with a video of its resident giant panda carving up a specially made snowman.

Toronto Zoo posted video of panda Da Mao enjoying the icy creation inside its snow-laden enclosure yesterday.

“Watch as he plays with, or rather disassembles, (the zookeeper’s) creation,” the video caption reads.

The video shows Da Mao swiping off the snowman’s head before himself taking a tumble.

Da Mao quickly recovers and within moments is back at it, digging at the snow before lying atop the snowman’s remaining torso.

The video has been viewed tens of thousands of times.
