Nice attack: #PrayForNice trends online after terror attack claims at least 77 lives

At least 77 people have been killed in Nice, France, after a truck rammed into a crowd celebrating Bastille Day.

French President, Francois Hollande, has extended the country’s state of emergency for three months.

“Horror again has struck France,” Mr Hollande said.

Nice Mayor Christian Estrosi said the city's flags will tomorrow be half-mast, and the planned Rihanna concert and a jazz festival are cancelled.

“This is the worst catastrophe our region has seen in modern history,” Mr Estrosi said.

Worldwide tributes from prominent figures, including government officials and celebrities, have flooded social media.
