New York officer charged in murder for hire plot

A New York police officer is accused of attempting to hire a hit man who would kill her estranged husband and her current boyfriend's daughter.

34-year-old Valerie Cincinelli was arraigned in Federal Court in central Islip Friday.

According to court documents, she withdrew $7000 from her bank account to pay for the hit.

Cincinelli is currently being held without bail.

She is a 12-year veteran of the NYPD, but now she is suspended without pay.
