New space jump vision released

It was just over a year ago today that humanity's collective hearts were in our mouths as we witnessed Austrian daredevil Felix Baumgartner jump from the edge of space back to earth.

Now, new footage of the remarkable feat has been released, giving viewers a unique perspective of the atmosphere some 38km's above the earth.

How's the serenity?

Instead of the whirling, adrenalin-inducing scenes you would expect to see from a space jump, the vision, which was filmed on a GoPro attached to Baumgartner, shows a meditatively serene backdrop to a fall occurring so rapidly it appears that the daredevil isn't moving an inch.

Despite a tricky 'death spin' mid fall that nearly caused Baumgartner to lose consciousness, the 43-year-old made it back to earth in one piece.
