Muslim social experiment produces heartwarming results

A Canadian group have created a video which they hope will break down stereotypes against Muslims and encourage trust between people.

The clip, created by Time Vision, was shot in downtown Toronto and features a Muslim man standing in the street, blindfolded, with a sign asking people to hug him.

"I am labelled as a terrorist. I trust you. Do you trust me? Give me a hug," the sign reads.

While some passers-by have their reservations, many others run up to embrace the blindfolded man without hesitation.

"The response was touching and inspiring," said creator AsoOmii Jay, who uploaded the video to YouTube yesterday.

"We wish to break down barriers and spread awareness about Islamophobia … and to teach both extremist Muslims and non-Muslims that violence and terrorism is NOT Islam."
