Rider collides with airborne bike

A motorcycle racer in the US has captured the terrifying moment he was collected by a flying bike in a high-speed crash.

The video, uploaded to YouTube by Kory Parish, shows a trio of riders approaching speeds of up to 130km/h on the "BeaveRun" track in Wampum, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, just before disaster strikes.

Appearing to make a line for the pits, the leader suddenly slows, which accidentally collects a fast-approaching rider hot on their tail.

The second rider is sent skidding across the asphalt as their bike is thrown into the path of the third person who has the camera.

It is not known if any of the riders suffered any serious injuries in the wreck.
