Motorcyclist sent flying after hitting loose foam mat

A US motorcyclist has been thrown over his handlebars after running into a piece of debris that fell off the back of hauled boat.

The biker was riding along I 95 highway in Minnesota on the afternoon of June 18 when what appeared to be a foam mat came loose only a few metres in front of him.

He had no time to swerve and tried to brake, but couldn’t stop running over it. The impact sent him airborne and onto the concrete.

The driver hauling the boat carried on, seemingly oblivious.

Luckily the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, and is said to have only suffered minor injuries.

“What a relief,” uploader Linda L, who filmed the crash on her car’s dashcam, said.
