Zen motorbiker rides backwards

A motorist in China was shocked when he recorded a motorcyclist riding down a highway facing backwards with his hands nowhere near the handlebars.

Yui Feng filmed the rider in the most extreme case of highway hypnosis, staring back into the distance while his bike kept on moving forward.

"It looked almost as if he was a passenger and the driver had fallen off without him noticing," Mr Yui said about the Zen rider in perfect harmony with his bike.

"It was really bizarre, I had to take a snap of it and when I uploaded it online I then realised that there were other images as well from other people. He seems to be a serial offender."

The Mirror reported that police branded the stunt "extremely dangerous", but from all indications the rider looked almost bored.

"It was an extremely dangerous stunt and it's not worth risking your life like this for a cheap thrill."

But then again, the rider doesn't look thrilled at all.
