Mother beheaded after getting trapped in lift
A former Russian beauty queen managed to save her infant son before being beheaded by a malfunctioning lift.
Olga Tilinina, 20, was entering the lift of her Moscow home with her eldest child Maxim, 2, when its doors suddenly slammed shut, trapping her legs.
"She had come back home and was about to enter the lift with her child, but the door closed," a family friend named Mikhail told local media.
"She managed to push away her child, then her legs were caught and the upper part of her body was crushed on the concrete.
"She was terribly, badly damaged. A mess in her stomach, all mangled and smashed, her face mashed."
It was reported that parts of the woman, including her dismembered head, were discovered over three floors.
"Her poor son witnessed this scene from hell," an emergency services worker said.
Mrs Tilinina's husband Dimitry had used the same lift only minutes earlier to take their one-year-old son Egor upstairs.
When Maxim was finally reunited with his father, all he could say was "mama, leg".
In a tribute to his dead wife, who had been a contestant in a 2012 Dimitrov beauty contest, he said "I have lost my beloved and darling person".
"I love you and remember you, you will remain in my heart. Our children love you."
