Son kicks mother during television show

An angry teenager has jumped on top of a desk and kicked his mother during a live television show in Lebanon.

The incident happened during filming of family conflict resolution show Bil Akeed (For Sure) on Lebanon's Future Television network, Al Arabiya news reports.

The unnamed mother was on the show to reunite with her estranged 15-year-old son Ahmed, who she had not seen for seven years after she separated from his father.

Ahmed's mother retold the ordeal she went through in divorce court.

"In the court he (her former husband) attacked me in front of the judges and sheiks," she said.

The boy became infuriated and tried to defend his father but when she accused the man of being a drunk Ahmed jumped on the table and attempted to kick his mother.

Production team members grabbed the boy before he could do any damage and the mother got out of her seat to try and get back at him but was held back.

The show's host Zaven Kouyoumdjian said at the end of the program he would resolve the issue, however it is unclear if he was able to reunite the estranged pair.
