Middle-aged Thai television actress makes desperate last attempt to lose virginity
The advertising agency responsible for the billboard have been fined 500 baht for public obscenity
A Thai television actress has allegedly become so disenfranchised with dating that she erected a giant billboard advertising her desire for a husband so that she can finally lose her virginity.
Accompanying the near-naked photograph of television actress Aranya 'Pui' Pathumthong, was the claim: "40 and a virgin. Pui Aranya is looking for a husband! Let me get it once before I die."
Despite the billboard claiming she is 40, Ms Pathumthong is in fact 45-years-old.
The actresses attempt to advertise her availability has drawn the ire of local police, who have ordered the removal of the advertisement from the Thai capital's Lat Phrao district.
Authorities fined the advertising agency behind the stunt 500 baht (AUD$18.65).
"We also want to question the woman on the poster about her motives," a police spokesperson is quoted as saying by the International Business Times.
It is unknown whether Ms Pathumthong's attempt to lose her virginity proved successful.
