Mexican volcano erupts spouting massive plume of ash

Mexico’s Popocatépetl volcano has erupted, sending a massive plume of volcanic ash and gas into the sky.
The incident, captured by Webcams de Mexico, and shows a column of ash and black smoke ascending kilometres into the night sky.
Popocatépet is one of the country’s most active volcanoes, with particularly intense activity being recorded in recent months.

The volcano sits just 80km south-east of the country’s capital, Mexico City.
