Mercedes driver runs over security guard

A Mercedes-Benz driver has been filmed running over a security guard who was trying to stop him entering a car park in China.

Extraordinary footage shows the guard lying down on the ground in front of the approaching luxury car, seemingly in a bid to stop it going into the car park in Shenzhen, south eastern China on May 23.

But the driver refuses to stop and keeps going right over the top of the guard who continues to lie passively on the ground.

According to local TV network WXMA, the 35-year-old guard suffered non life-threatening head and mouth injuries.

A photo broadcasted by the network shows the guard lying on a hospital bed with several bandages on his face.

It is not known if the driver has been charged over the incident.
