McDonalds hoons investigated by police

Powered by

Two drunk teens who attacked staff in a UK McDonalds with foam tubes could face assault charges.

A video of the incident was uploaded to Facebook and shows the two men - Ben Hall and Joel Melia - hitting two female employees and attempting to go behind the counter before being chased out of the store in Burnley, Lancashire

Despite police being notified of the incident the two teens in the video have refused to apologise and told local media the "prank" was just a "piece of fun".

"We had more than a few. On the way up to McDonald’s we found some scaffolding safety foam and thought it'd be funny to have a fight with them and it just carried on in McDonald’s," Mr Hall told the Burnley Citizen. 'We thought we'd involve the staff but I don't think they were too impressed."

The pair were eventually chased out of the McDonalds by a staff member but not before the woman was struck in the head and between her legs by Mr Melia.

When asked if he wanted to apologise for the incident Mr Melia told media it was simply "a piece of fun".

"I won’t apologise," he said. "We were just messing about. I think she over-reacted if anything. There was no need for her to get on like she did."

Police confirmed they were investigating the incident.
