Massive fire at Thai resort strip

Two tourists were rushed to hospital after a fire broke out in the bars of the Thai holiday resort of Pattaya.

Scores of visitors and local people fled after explosions were heard last night in the popular Walking Street which is packed with bars and night clubs, reports Thai Visa News.

Video taken by onlookers captured the flames and smoke.

Tourists reported watching sparks fly followed by large explosions as an electrical box and motorbikes caught fire.

Emergency services were reported to be on the scene within minutes and the fires was eventually brought under control.

The injured tourists were treated were treated for burns and smoke inhalation at Pattaya Memorial Hospital.
