Man stabs prospective employer during job interview

When it comes to things not to do during a job interview, stabbing your prospective employer would rank quite high.

One person who seemed to miss that memo is Jose Lopez.

The first big mistake the job hunter from southern California made was showing up drunk to the interview on Tuesday, reports NBC San Diego .

After the business owner smelled alcohol on Lopez's breath, he confronted him about it a move which made the interviewee "angry".

A fight then broke out and when the employer managed to get Lopez in a headlock, Lopez stabbed him in the arm before running off leaving behind one very important piece of information: his job application.

The employer handed the evidence over to police later that day, and, as it contained Lopez's address, police were able to arrest the suspect at his house.

Lopez has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon, while the victim has since been treated for a minor stab wound.
