“Imagine you are given the power of a superhero,” the homework task reads.

“What would be your special power? Why would you want it? What would you do with this new ability?”

“Lola”, clearly oblivious to the troubling import of her response, explains that the name of her imagined “superkiller” as “Killer”, because – of course – “she kills a lot of pepole [sic]”.

“My superpowers are super speed super strength [sic] super hering [sic] and super killing and shape shifting and shadow shifting,” she writes.

The piece concludes rather ominously with, “I like her because she likes the darkness”.

Reddit user actuallyXY has congratulated Lola’s father on her appropriate naming.

“Lola is short for the Spanish name Dolores, meaning pain [sorrows],” they wrote.

“Good job naming her.”
