Daredevil lets alligator chomp on head to find out what it feels like

A US man has tempted fate by placing his head into the jaws of an alligator, all in the name of curiosity.

“Gator Crusader” Michael Womer of Orlando, Florida has attempted to answer the question “what is an alligator bite like” in a risky stunt.

In a video posted to YouTube over the weekend, Mr Womer approaches a pool full of gators while wearing a GoPro camera mounted to his forehead.

Mr Womer asks one of the reptiles to “smile” before lowering his head towards it.

Seconds later, the alligator closes its jaws over the camera and the video cuts out.

Mr Womer previously told Inside Edition that alligators are his “passion and one true love”.

His other videos feature Mr Womer engaging in unusual interactions with the animals.

One sees the Gator Crusader recreating a famous scene from Disney’s Lady and the Tramp, this time with the help of a sausage and an alligator.
