Man films mop showdown with owl

A self-described "owl whisperer" has filmed himself angling a feathered intruder out of his kitchen window using only a mop.

Colton Wright posted two hilarious videos to YouTube of him hysterically screaming and swearing as he tries to retrieve the owl, which had found its way inside.

After "40 minutes of hysterics",  a desperate Mr Wright pulls out the Swiffer mop, using it to delicately manoeuvre the stern-looking creature out the window.

"Please don't give me that look," he pleads with the bird, as it delivers a stare which nightmares are made of.

Mr Wright continues to edge it further out the window, but the owl remains transfixed.

With a flick of the handle he finally sets it free, celebrating the feat with a " F--- yeah!"
