Man confronts dangerous driver allegedly high on meth and heroin

A US motorist who spotted a car veering on and off an Ohio highway has chased them down, only to find himself confronting one very erratic and apologetic woman.

A video of the incident, posted to Ohio resident Sam Haynes’ Facebook account on August 22, has since gone viral, accumulating more than 2.6 million views.

“For all you dope fiends who thinks its ok to do what you do and drive, this is what you look like,” the video’s caption reads.

The video shows Mr Haynes pulling over the other driver before going to deliver them a cautionary word.

“My sister was in a car accident, she’s not gonna walk anymore – really don’t want to see that happen to anyone else,” Mr Haynes can be heard saying in the video.

“That’s why I wanted to stop you ma’am.”

The other driver – a middle-aged woman – gushes apologies, making a series of hyperactive gestures.

She was subsequently apprehended by police, where she confessed to using heroin and meth before getting into her car, the NY Daily News reports.

"When deputies arrived at the scene, they found Harris passed out with her head on the steering wheel, " Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Mike Robison said.

"They said she was displaying obvious signs of drug use."

Mr Robison has confirmed Mr Haynes is not currently under investigation for using an electronic device to film the incident while driving.
