Lumberjack escapes death in tree lopping fail

Heart-stopping video has captured the moment a lumberjack was sent flying when the tree he was lopping unexpectedly collapsed.

In the footage posted to YouTube, the man dressed in a red hoodie is shown being pulled feet-first into frame after appearing to get his foot caught in a rope supporting the fallen branch.

His arms and legs flail as he is violently spun around the tree base before finally coming to a rest on the ground below.

Meanwhile another lopper perched in the canopy holds on for dear life to what is left of the tree, narrowly avoiding going down with the collapsed limb.

The man in red escaped with only a broken arm while the other man was not injured in the mishap, according to a commenter beneath the video.
