Loyal duck becomes young boy's best friend and protector
Beaker and Tyler go everywhere together.
Their household already boasted 11 ducks, but when one Texas family decided to adopt another pet, they never anticipated that duckling would form an unbreakable bond with their infant son.
Beaker, nicknamed Bee, took an instant liking to nine-month-old Tyler as soon as he joined the Young family, even scrambling to be by the infant’s side every time he cried.
Jennifer Young said when her son, now a mischievous toddler, spoke for the first time he even said “duck”.
“Bee steals snacks when Tyler isn’t looking, they play outside together, go to the park together, enjoy wagon rides together,” she wrote on the Facebook page, “Mr. T and Bee: A Tale of a boy and His Ducks”.
Bee even keeps a watchful eye over Tyler during bath time.
“Bee is extremely protective of my son. If he cries, Bee quacks and runs to him.
“From the time these two get up till the time they go to bed, it’s chaos,” she wrote.
