Keeper eats hamburger thrown from the stands

When it comes to crowd abuse the best course of action is usually to turn the other cheek and inflict some scoreboard payback.

But Argentinean goalkeeper Juan Olave found a novel – albeit stomach churning - way to deal with his tormenters during a recent football match.

Taunted and abused by Racing Club fans, the Belgrano shot stopper was pelted with a half-eaten hamburger.

But rather than ignore the bun and beef, Olave simply picked it up off the turf and took a couple of bites before nodding at the fans and throwing it away.

Whether the burger had been tampered with, we're not sure, but it didn't seem to put off Olave, who finished with a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw.

We just hope he had a clean bill of health after chowing down on the dirty burger.
