Katie Price claims Oscar Pistorius was messaging her during murder trial

British tabloid personality Katie Price has claimed that Oscar Pistorius was messaging her during his trial for killing his girlfriend.

The 36-year-old said the South African Paralympian reached out to her over social media in April after she penned a column saying she wasn't going to judge Pistorius based on media reports of the night Reeva Steenkamp was killed, the Mirror reports.

"He was direct messaging me during the case. It's weird, isn't it?" she told the newspaper.

"He was saying, 'Thanks for the support,' and stuff. Just all general chitchat.

"He was the first one to message me," Price added.

"Because I mentioned him in my column, he was referencing that. I wasn't exactly supporting him, but everyone who goes through a trial will be the only one who knows what really happened.

"You're innocent until you're proven guilty."

The mother-of-five, who has just started as a contributor on The Morning Show, said she would love to visit the 27-year-old and interview him.
