Jetstar cancels Friday Bali flights due to volcanic ash cloud

Jetstar has cancelled all Friday flights between Australian and Bali, as a volcanic ash cloud from Mount Rinjani continues to affect flying conditions.
“Following the latest update from the Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre (VAAC), our team of experts has concluded that flying conditions around Bali remain unsafe due to the volcanic ash cloud from Mount Rinjan,” the airline’s statement read.

Yesterday, flights were delayed at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport due to the cloud.
Authorities then closed airports on the Indonesian islands of Bali and Lombok.
