Khashoggi’s body ‘carried out of Saudi consul general’s home in five suitcases’

Turkish TV has aired CCTV video of men purportedly carrying the remains of murdered Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi out of a building in Istanbul.

The video, broadcast by the pro-Turkish government channel A Haber, shows the men carrying five suitcases through the consul general’s home, Reuters reports.

The home is located a small distance from the consulate where Khashoggi was last seen alive.

Khashoggi, an outspoken critic of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), vanished while attending an appointment at the consulate on October.

It is alleged MBS ordered Khashoggi’s assassination, which was then carried out by a hit-squad of 15 men.

Saudi prosecutors have charged 11 unidentified people over Khashoggi's death. Five may face the death penalty.

The exact whereabouts of Khashoggi’s remains is unknown.
