Extremist group ISIL has reportedly delved to horrific new depths during its ongoing campaign of terror and oppression in the Middle East, with new claims the jihadists have been harvesting organs.
Iraqi ambassador to the United Nations Mohamed Alhakim has approached the UN Security Council asking them to investigations allegations ISIL was harvesting human organs for money, Israeli news source Haaretz has reported.
Mr Alhakim told reporters that in the past few weeks, shallow mass graves had been uncovered filled with bodies bearing the marks of surgical incisions and missing organs.
"We have bodies. Come and examine them," he said.
"It is clear they are missing certain parts."
He claimed a number of doctors had been murdered by the terrorist group in Mosul for refusing to participate in organ harvesting.
Mr Alhakim said ISIL was carrying out a campaign of genocide against different ethnic groups.
