ISIL opens marriage counselling office as Caliphate loses its lustre

Things aren't going well in the shrinking Caliphate carved out in Syria by ISIL, which is resorting to increasingly desperate measures to hold on to its territory in the face of airstrikes, cyber-attacks, and dissent within.

Indeed, morale is getting so low in ISIL's Raqqa stronghold the terror group has reportedly been forced to open a marriage counselling office in a bid to convince radicalised brides they should stick around.

Evidently the "Jihotties" campaign didn't deliver on its promise, with the wives of soldiers increasingly fed up with the rustic conditions inside what was meant to be an Islamic paradise.

"At least before you we had electricity, we could bake and cook," one Jihadi bride told the Open Your Eyes website.

"Our basic needs were met. Now we are back to ancient times," she said.

"There’s no electricity, no drinking water. There are no services," another said.

Apparently these complaints were enough to spur ISIL's high command, no doubt worried at the prospect of losing female militants , to open a marriage guidance office, which has reportedly been attended by both men and women.

But rocky relationships aren't the half of ISIL's current predicament, with the US promising to target the group not only with aerial bombardment, but also with "cyber bombs", as Deputy Secretary of Defence Robert Work said recently.
