Is she in the water or above it? The picture of a young girl baffling the internet

The latest in a string of photos to perplex the internet shows a young girl jumping into a pool, or is she already under water?

The photo has left the online community confused after it was posted to Imgur two days ago.

“This girl looks like she’s underwater and jumping into water at the same time,” user Maskari wrote below the photo.

When first looking at the photo, which has been viewed almost three million times, the smiling girl looks like she is jumping into a pool; water splashing around her face.

But at second glance it seems as though she may be completely submerged and letting out a breath with air bubbles floating around her head.

“This picture is taken upside down in water right?” one user commented underneath the image.

“Meet OPs (Maskari's) water-bending daughter,” another quipped.

“Well, which is she?????” one frustrated user wrote.

Maskari never confirmed the identitiy of the girl in the photo or whether she was in or out of the water.
