Indian man admits to killing 30 children

An Indian man has admitted to raping and killing more than 30 children in Delhi, local police said on Tuesday.

Stunned investigators said the 23-year-old man allegedly picked out his victims from around the Delhi area, The Hindustan Times reports.

Ravinder Kumar began committing the heinous crimes in 2008 when he was about 16 years old, police said.

“Kumar has confessed to murdering more than 30 children after raping them,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Vikramjit Singh said.

“Most of the cases have taken place in and around Delhi.”

Although he has admitted to 30 slayings, police have only been able to link him to half a dozen of those.

Investigators are even saying the number of Kumar’s victims could reach as high as 40 as the case continues.
