Driver drags police officer through city streets in China

A Chinese police officer has clung to the bonnet of a car as the driver sped through traffic to avoid a parking ticket.

Security cameras filmed the incident in Qingzhou city in east China’s Shandong Province last week.

Video shows two traffic police officers talk to a driver who had illegally parked on the side of a street when the motorist decided to make a getaway.

The driver revved the engine and rammed straight into the officer who was standing in front of the car.

The officer was pushed up on to the bonnet where they clung for the life as the car sped through the city streets for about a kilometre.

When the officer eventually lost their grip anjd fell off, the driver continued to flee.

CCTV reports the hunt for the driver is still ongoing.
