Shock finding about 'eerie' bones under nursing home
Human remains which sparked a police investigation after being unearthed beneath an old nursing home date back to the 7th century AD, it has been found.
The bones were uncovered during a demolition project in the UK town of Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, on October 17 last year.
Police launched an investigation, but carbon dating has since established the bones date back to 635-685AD.

Police said the bones had been passed on to Cotswold Archaeology for further investigation.
Detective Inspector Tim Lindley said it had been a "lengthy process" to establish the facts around the fine.
British newsagency SWNS reported that when the bones were uncovered, some of the neighbours described the discovery as "eerie".
But it was speculated from early on that the bones had been there since before the building was erected.
