House explodes live on US television

A US television network filming a burning house has broadcast the dramatic moment it exploded live on air.

Footage of the burning home in Brentwood, New Hampshire, was going to air live following the shooting of a police officer.

Flames engulf the home as thick smoke billows out of the windows when the roof suddenly explodes.

Police and SWAT teams had surrounded the property after reports of the shooting.

It is unclear what caused the explosion and whether there was anyone inside the building.
