Hologram MJ plays Vegas

The King of Pop has made his first concert appearance since his death in 2009.

A hologram of Michael Jackson appeared on-stage at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas.

The closely-guarded secret of the holographic performance was leaked this morning after a lawsuit from two hologram companies sought to stop the performance.

But courts saw the issue as far from black and white, and the show went ahead.

The hologram performed 'Slave to the Rhythm' in front of a packed MGM grand, dressed in a virtual outfit modelled on the cover shoot for 1991's Dangerous. 

Hologram-Jacko's performance comes two years after a hologram of deceased rapper Tupac Shakur shocked crowds at the 2012 Coachella festival in Texas when he accompanied Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre.
