Hare outwits desert hunter

A Gulf man on a desert safari has been left speechless after a hare he thought he'd shot and killed scampered away when he tried to retrieve it.

In video footage of the incident, a man with a riffle slung over his right shoulder can be seen walking over to what looks to be the body of a dead bunny.

After pointing at the seemingly lifeless animal the man appears to boast about his kill to his friend holding the camera.

However as he bends down to pick up his 'prize', the rabbit springs back to life and sprints across the sand and over a far-off dune.

The sight of the animal rushing from his grip leaves him momentarily lost for words.

The video was first published in Kuwait's 'Al Anba' daily and posted on YouTube late last month.

The media outlet did not provide details as to the exact location of where the footage was taken.
