Hailstorm destroys Camry as man sits inside

A US man has filmed himself sitting in his Toyota Camry as a barrage of monster hailstones rained down on his car, smashing the back windscreen.

Judd Rambo had been driving on a Tennessee highway when the hail storm hit yesterday.

Mr Rambo pulled over and watched helplessly as the storm intensified.

Minutes later the sound of glass smashing can be heard and Mr Rambo swings his camera around to show the hail stones punching holes through the back windshield.

Within seconds the whole back window has been smashed in and Mr Rambo is being pelted with hailstones.

"Yikes," Mr Rambo says into the camera.

"Getting hit from behind. I guess I gotta just keep moving," he said as puts a jacket over his head and prepares to leave the car.

Mr Rambo posted the video to YouTube, writing: "It was cool until the back window blew out and glass and ice started flying around the car.”
