Grandmother’s dentures fall out while skydiving, hit the instructor’s head

A 72-year-old grandmother has lost her dentures during a skydive that had long been on her bucket list.

Polly Chester from Virginia in the US said she wasn’t feeling nervous or afraid before the dive.

"She was very excited, with just a hint of apprehension," her son-in-law Butch David told FOX 13 News.

But just a few seconds into the experience of a lifetime, her dentures flew straight out of her mouth and over her head, hitting her instructor in the face.

“When I shut my mouth, they were gone and I said some naughty words,” Ms Chester said.

“I didn't feel them fall out. I just realized they were gone. The guy behind me says they hit me in my head. I'm glad I didn't knock him out.

“Everybody had a lot of fun over it and so did I. It was just an expensive jump after I had to buy a new plate.”

Replacing her teeth cost more than the jump but after spending $975, Ms Chester said she has no regrets.

"Live your life to the best. You don't have it but once and enjoy it, get a lot of laughs."
