Good Samaritans free pedestrian trapped under car

A group of strangers have used their collective strength to lift a car off a trapped pedestrian following a horror traffic accident in the US.

A female pedestrian became pinned under a sedan on Tuesday when it drove across a footpath in Washington after being sideswiped by a truck. Three others were injured in the accident, St Lois Today reports.

Dashcam footage of the incident shows a silver sedan skid across the footpath and slam into a pole.

As a distressed woman stands in shock, dozens of bystanders rush the scene to offer their help.

“Everyone was like ‘get the car, get the car’, so like 20 of us ran in and grabbed the Malibu (vehicle) and picked up the Malibu to get the person from under the car,” a witness told the media outlet.

The four pedestrians were taken to hospital with series injuries that were non-life threatening.
